I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
